In recent months, we have witnessed significant changes on the social network “X,” formerly known as “Twitter.” Now, the change is happening with links.

Elon Musk argues that the reason for removing headlines on X is his desire to transform X into a social media platform of reference, similar to YouTube or TikTok, where users can find and consume all kinds of content directly on the platform, including extensive news, instead of being redirected to external links.

Furthermore, when he presented this proposal to the platform’s users, he explained that his goal was to simplify it to the maximum extent, removing any elements he deemed superfluous.

Now, the articles published on X are presented in the form of images, with the source displayed in the bottom left corner, without any other contextual information in the image. This adjustment has already been applied to mobile devices.
